2048 Ventures, a thesis driven, high conviction, earliest stage venture capital firm is looking to bring on a Network Partner focused on sourcing biotech deals.

🔥 About you

We are looking for 2nd-3rd year current graduate students or MS/MBAs seeing biotech pre-seed and seed deal flow in Boston (USA) or Cambridge, Oxford, and London in the UK.

Here’s why you might be a good fit:

• You are highly networked in the early stage startup biotech community on campus and have access to interesting networks (e.g., biotech societies, founder groups, accelerators etc.)
• You meet with a lot of startups — just because you love to do it. Occasionally, you might volunteer your time to help founders, or have a company of your own.
• You see a lot of deal flow — somehow your inbox is always crowded with decks and intro requests.
• You’re naturally curious about biotech trends, and about the world of venture and startups.

It’s simple: you share deals with us and get awesome training in biotech VC and you will be compensated!

• Flagging Deals: When you meet an interesting founder - in any space - at pre-seed or seed - regardless of if you’re investing or not, share it with us. We expect you to flag all deals on your campus during the Fall and Spring, and a commitment of a few hours per week.
• Compensation for each startup you flag that we invest in: If we end up investing in a company you find, you get compensated with a $2,048 cash bonus.
• Access to our deal flow: Every week, we will post a list of deals we’re actively looking at. You’re welcome to engage, share hot takes, and if you’re interested in investing, let us know and we’ll try to make room in the round.
• Invitation to our Slack community: As part of the program, you will be added to our curated Slack community, where you can engage with one another, network, and build a cohort of friends from all over the globe that are passionate about the early stage startup ecosystem.
• A formal affiliation with 2048 Ventures: Network Partners get a formal affiliation with 2048 Ventures — you can share this on LinkedIn, or when talking to other folks in the startup ecosystem. This will help if you are interested in a career in venture. We are happy to be your reference and introduce you to VC jobs in the future. Network Partners will also have access to the 2048 Ventures team, and get insight into technology trends, institutional investment processes, and support.
• Engagement with us:
  • Every few weeks, we will host an hour session with our biotech team to dissect biotech deals.
  • We will offer workshops about careers in venture capital, biotech deep dives, thesis development sessions, and more.
  • You will also have an opportunity to work with us on thesis formation projects.
